Should I install my Turkey eSIM before I fly or wait until I land in Istanbul?

I'm heading to Istanbul next week and just bought a Turkey data plan. I'm nervous about installing it too early and having it activate while I'm still at home, but also worried about landing with no data to order a ride. What's the safest way to time this?
