I'm planning to activate my eSIM for a trip to the Philippines, but I’m unsure if I need to enable Data Roaming on my device. Can anyone clarify if this setting is necessary for using my eSIM there?

You don’t need to turn on Data Roaming for your eSIM in the Philippines as long as your eSIM is activated. However, enabling it can help ensure you stay connected if you switch between different networks.

I was worried about that too, but I didn’t have to touch the Roaming setting once my eSIM was activated. It worked perfectly right after landing!

I kept Data Roaming on just in case, and it worked well for me. Better safe than sorry when it comes to staying connected!

I never turned on Data Roaming, and I had no issues using my eSIM in the Philippines. It seems like it just worked without any extra tweaks.

I did turn on Data Roaming, but I think it was unnecessary. The eSIM handled everything smoothly without any interruptions.

I left Data Roaming off to save battery, and my eSIM was still fine. I think it really depends on your device.

When I traveled, I turned on Data Roaming for peace of mind, but I didn’t notice any difference. The eSIM was already activated.

I recommend checking your phone settings before you leave. My friend had issues without Data Roaming on, so it might help to enable it if you encounter connectivity problems.
